My name is Asha Limbu. I am 9 years old. I have six members in my family including me. They are my father, mother, elder brother and my two sisters. One is older than me while other one is younger. My father name is Ram Bahadur Limbu, my mother name is Phool Maya Limbu, and my brother name is Bijay limbu.
My parents, brother and sisters love me very much. My elder sister Samjhana is studying in class 6 and we are staying in the same hostel “Little Gems Girls hostel”. We both are sponsored by help2educate. My younger sister is studying in nursery at Mahadavbesi. My parents work in stone quarry. They work very hard for us. My elder brother also helped them earning by crushing stones at stone quarry.
Before I came to hostel I used to live with my parents. I used to prepare foods for my parents and wash utensils. Sometimes I even used to collect stones and crush it. I used to go to government school but there I didn’t get any good education. Because of the poverty my parents couldn’t afford a good school for me. Life was very difficult for me but since I came to hostel my life has totally changed.
The hostel is providing me with everything. They send me to one of the best school in Kathmandu. My school name is Future Stars High school. My school is very nice. I’ve got a better education here. My school uniform is very nice too. We all look very smart in our uniform. I got beautiful clothes and lots of facilities.
I went many places to visit. In the hostel my friends and staffs are equally nice and helpful to me. I am very happy staying in the hostel. Now I’m studying in grade 1. Though I’m little bit weak, I will work hard always and make everyone’s proud. Lastly, I would like to thank Ian sir and my sponsor sir for giving me this opportunity. I’m very grateful to you both.
