We need volunteers to help us set up, develop, fund and manage mini projects in Nepal. These are small scale, short term projects intended to support the education and care of needy children in Nepal.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage a small development project!
What can I do?
We have a number of projects available that require your help. Once you apply, will ask you to choose a project that best suits you. If you have a friend or groups of friends, you can work together to raise funds for and manage the same project. Just let us know!
Currently, we are seeking volunteers to manage projects to refurbish, paint and repair local village school classrooms. Many village schools lack funding and are in a poor condition. Classrooms are often basic and lack the facilities to provide a suitable learning environment for children.
You will be supported locally by Nepali staff that will advise and help you on your chosen project.
As a volunteer, we will ask you to raise £3000 towards the cost of the project. This also includes airport pickup, backup, orientation, training, food and lodging, donation to our hostel, a SIM card, a Lonely Planet guide and an amazing complimentary Mountain Flight over Everest!
Typically, a project will take no longer than 1 month to implement but if you want to volunteer for longer you can combine your project with teaching and Backpact.
