Today I am going to write about Backs pact’s visit in our Little Gems Girls Hostel. Some volunteers came to visit from Cambridge University of UK. They were seven people altogether and their names are Alba, Rob, Jennie, Isabel, Anisha, Joe and Bernard. They came to Nepal in some weeks ago but they came in our hostel only on the date of 11th September
Backpackt put on a performance for the girls.
Before that we just heard from our teachers that some people from UK were coming to visit us in our hostel. We were so excited to meet them and eager to see their performance.
When they came in our hostel we became so happy and first of all, we welcomed them and they all introduced with us and our teacher introduced them with us. For the very first time they performed a drama which was very interesting and good too. They showed us such an inspiring drama that we have never seen in our life.
They really have the capabilities to entertain other because of their dreams were real and the scene, dialogue and other facial expressions seemed to be real. We really liked it and very much thankful to all of them. After that they taught us how to play Guitar. We also tried to play guitar.
Similarly, they taught us how to sing songs and how to dance. Then after they sang a song and also danced for us. The songs and dance were very interesting and beautiful. They gave us so many fun and pleasure by their lovely performance and by acting.
We enjoyed watching their drama, song, dance and all the games that they taught us as they were so exciting. All of us were very happy because in our hostel each and every time many volunteers came to visit us, they help us on learning different things as well as give knowledgeable information, taught us important things like how to manage time, sharing things, helping each other, how to clean our hostel, classroom, how to behave with our teachers and friends, etc.
The backs pacts team organised same programs in various school of Kathmandu like Shangri-La Public School, Mahendra Adarsha Vidyashram and Adarsha Saula Higher secondary school. They told us that they did same drama, song and dance in all of the three schools. Then they came to our hostel to visit and show their performance.
After doing all of the interesting things we felt very tired and hungry so that all of us made the tea and some biscuits as well as we arranged some dry food and cold drink for all of them.. After preparing all of those things we gave tea and some biscuits to them and other dry food and cold drinks.
Now they went back to India to organise the same program as they did for us in the hostel like, songs, drama and dance also. They were very interesting and nice people like other volunteers so we are very happy with them for the program they organised for us.
We want to give a lot of thanks to them and again request them to come and visit our hostel. Whenever they will come we will welcome them. Once again we would like to thank the backpact team very much for such inspiring and knowledgeable program.
